Transparency & Ethics

Editorial & Fact-Checking Standards

TechOrCoffee is committed to providing accurate, clear, and unbiased information. We follow strict guidelines to ensure our reviews, code tutorials, and guides maintain high trust signals.

1. 100% Human-Written Content

We firmly believe that tech writing is only useful when backed by real, human experiences. AI-generated fluff lacks the nuance, testing capability, and technical precision required to explain code architecture or review smartphone build qualities.

Every article published on TechOrCoffee is written, researched, and edited by a qualified technical writer or software engineer. We do not use generative AI models to write our articles.

2. Fact-Checking & Technical Accuracy

Accuracy is our absolute priority. When our writers explain programming concepts (like Next.js routing, Mongoose schemas, or edge-level middleware), the code is compiled, run, and tested locally. We verify all specifications, prices, release dates, and software features from direct first-party resources (such as official documentation and manufacturer spec sheets).

If a product review contains benchmarks, they are run multiple times under identical conditions to rule out anomalies.

3. Independence & Unbiased Reviews

Our product reviews are written with complete editorial independence. If a product has a hardware flaw, poor battery life, or outdated software, we will explicitly say so.

  • We do not accept paid placements or native ads that promise a positive review.
  • We do not give manufacturers approval or preview rights over articles.
  • Affiliate links are clearly disclosed, and they never influence our final recommendation or price comparison metrics.

4. Corrections & Updates Policy

Technology moves quickly, and legacy articles can get out of date. We actively revisit published guides and comparisons to ensure prices are updated, links work, and code snippets remain compliant with new framework versions.

When a significant correction is made to an article (such as fixing a bug in a code tutorial or correcting a manufacturer spec), we update the article's dateModified parameter to reflect the update.
