Are you ready to bring social media into your living space? Meta has expanded beyond social entertainment apps to bring living room entertainment to Apple users. It has launched a dedicated space, expanding from screens to a home experience this year, exclusively for Apple TV.
The application available on Apple TV’s App Store is set to bring a wholesome experience for viewers to watch reels and long videos and even create moments as well as share those among friends.
What's new about Meta’s Instagram for Home Space?
The new upfront application for Apple TV users will provide a source of entertainment for viewers. While the phone version includes features such as direct messages and the ability to create reels, the television version is designed solely for enjoying reels or videos on a larger screen, allowing for a more comfortable leisure experience.
Users with Instagram accounts can enjoy watching videos and searching for new trends on the screen, just like they do on their phones. It also provides a seamless feature to operate accounts with multi-screen syncing. You can easily watch videos on any screen, whether on a TV, iPad, or phone, and can watch videos from where you left off last time.
One interesting fact for users, especially parents, is that it has built-in age-appropriate content and parental control options.
Meta’s new venture into home-room screens brings in a new dimension of family and friends' entertainment on various occasions. It began testing on Amazon Fire TV devices, Samsung smart TVs, and Google TV in late 2025, and will fully support Apple TV this year.
It's free and available on the App Store on Apple TV and requires tvOS 26.0 or later to run, making it readily available on Apple TV HD and later generations of Apple TV 4K.
This new type of entertainment is surely going to revolutionize television and expand social media interaction among users in their comfort space.
