If you live in Saudi Arabia and you are choosing a Gemini AI subscription, the hardest part is not the sign-up page. It is working out what you will genuinely use. All three plans β€” Google AI Plus, Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra β€” are available in Saudi Arabia, so the choice is real. But the most expensive option is not automatically the best one for you.

Think about a normal week. Are you mainly asking quick questions, drafting emails, summarising articles or helping with homework? Do you need help with long documents, large spreadsheets or hours of video? Do you store a lot in Google Drive and Google Photos? The answers matter more than any feature list, because the plans differ most in how much you can use, how much storage you get, and how heavy the work is.

A student in Riyadh, a small business owner in Jeddah and a video editor in Dammam do not need the same plan. The student may already be covered by a free offer. The business owner may need the extra storage and stronger models in Pro. The video editor may be the only one who should look closely at Ultra β€” and even then, only after checking exactly what Ultra includes in Saudi Arabia. Compare in Saudi riyals, not dollars or euros. Prices abroad do not translate neatly into Saudi prices, and converting a US price yourself can leave you with a figure that looks precise but is simply wrong here. This guide uses only the Saudi prices we could verify.

The verified prices in Saudi Arabia

Here are the prices in Saudi riyals, based on sources that read Google's Saudi Arabia page in October and November 2026.

PlanVerified Saudi priceStorage
Google AI PlusSAR 18.99 / month400 GB
Google AI ProSAR 85.99 / month5 TB
Google AI UltraSee note belowSee note below

Google AI Plus costs SAR 18.99 per month and includes 400 GB of storage. That price was verified by multiple independent sources, including Origami on 5 October 2026, Whizi, and OpenTheRank on 4 November 2026. For many people, Plus is the natural first paid step: a large jump from the free tier in usage and storage, without the much higher cost of Pro.

Google AI Pro costs SAR 85.99 per month and includes 5 TB of storage. The same sources verified this figure. Pro is more than four times the price of Plus, so judge it on whether you will actually use the extra capacity and stronger models. If your main use is short questions and light drafting, that gap is hard to justify. If you regularly work with long documents, large files or heavy research, it starts to make more sense.

Google AI Ultra needs caution. One Saudi source, Origami, reported Ultra at SAR 349.99 per month for the 5x tier and SAR 859.99 per month for the 20x tier. That figure is reported by one Saudi source, not independently confirmed, and this guide does not present it as confirmed Google pricing. Do not buy Ultra on the strength of that single report alone. Check Google's own Saudi subscriptions page first. A mistake at Plus level costs less than twenty riyals a month. A mistake at Ultra level could cost hundreds a month for features you did not need.

Plus vs Pro: SAR 18.99 or SAR 85.99?

The most useful comparison for most readers is Plus versus Pro, because those are the two prices we can verify with confidence, and most people will land on one of them.

Start with storage. Plus includes 400 GB across Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos β€” generous if you mainly store documents, photos and ordinary files. Pro includes 5 TB, more than twelve times as much. That matters if you store large video files, keep years of photos at full quality, back up several devices, or share a large Drive with a team. Check your current use in Google One first. If you are at 80 GB and growing slowly, Plus gives you plenty of headroom. If you are already at 350 GB, Pro's 5 TB is not a luxury β€” it is the point.

Next, think about how heavily you use Gemini. Pro is aimed at people who use AI as part of their daily work, with higher limits and stronger models for longer, more complex tasks. Plus is for people who want more than the free tier but do not need the heaviest use. If you only open Gemini a few times a week, Pro's extra capacity will mostly sit unused. If you use it for hours a day, Pro is more likely to feel worth the extra SAR 67 a month.

Price it over a year. Plus is SAR 227.88 over twelve months. Pro is SAR 1,031.88 β€” a difference of about SAR 804 a year. For a freelancer or small business, that extra cost often pays for itself in saved time. For casual use, it often does not. There is no shame in starting with Plus and upgrading later, once your own use shows you need more.

What changed in October 2026

A comparison written before October 2026 would give you the wrong impression of the free tier. From 9 October 2026, free accounts are limited to Flash-Lite only, and Plus lost access to the Pro model. That was reported by Origami, based on Google's Saudi page, and it changes the value of every plan.

In practical terms, the free tier is now for light, quick tasks only. If you were using the free version for longer work and it suddenly felt weaker, that is likely why. Plus is still a step up from free in usage and storage, but it no longer includes the Pro model as it did before. Pro is now the plan to consider if access to the stronger models matters to you.

Be careful, too, with older articles and videos. A guide from early 2026 may describe Plus as including something it no longer includes, or describe the free tier as more capable than it is today. Prefer sources from October and November 2026, and if a claim does not mention this October change, treat it as out of date until you can confirm it on Google's own page.

The student offer: 12 months of Plus free

This is the most valuable verified offer in this guide, and the one most likely to be misunderstood. MCIT and Google announced at LEAP 2026 that up to 1 million Saudi university students can get 12 months of Google AI Plus free. Registration is open until 31 December 2026, and the offer is for students aged 18 and over.

The key point is the plan name: the current offer is Plus, not Pro. There was an earlier student offer in 2025 for free Pro, but that expired on 3 November 2025. Do not conflate the two. If you see a post claiming students can still get free Pro, it is almost certainly describing the old, expired offer. The current offer gives eligible students a year of Plus β€” worth SAR 18.99 a month, or SAR 227.88 over twelve months β€” but it is not Pro.

If you are a university student in Saudi Arabia, check this offer before you pay for anything. Use the official registration route announced by MCIT and Google, and do not share your password, one-time code or account recovery details with anyone who claims they can register you. No genuine registration needs those details from you.

The ASUS laptop bundle: three months free

There is a second verified way to try a paid plan without paying first, if you are buying a laptop. Eligible ASUS laptops in Saudi Arabia include three months of Google AI free β€” Plus with Vivobook and Vivobook Go, and Pro with ROG, TUF, ProArt, Zenbook and Vivobook S. The promotion runs from 10 August 2026 to 9 August 2027, and you must redeem it by 10 September 2027 through the MyASUS app.

If you are already buying one of these laptops, the three free months are a genuine bonus β€” redeem them through the official MyASUS route, not through any third party. Three months of Pro is worth SAR 257.97 at the verified Saudi price. But the bundle should not be the main reason you buy a laptop. Buy the laptop that fits your needs and budget, and treat the AI bundle as an extra.

Check the exact model first: a Vivobook Go gets Plus, not Pro. And remember the free period ends. After three months you will be charged the normal Saudi price unless you cancel, so set a reminder and decide then, based on your actual use, whether to keep paying.

Arabic, age limits and VAT

A comparison is not only about price. Three practical details are worth knowing before you subscribe.

First, Gemini is available in Arabic. That matters if you prefer to ask questions, draft messages or work with documents in Arabic, or if you switch between Arabic and English in the same task. You do not need to work only in English to get value from the paid plans.

Second, the paid plans are for users aged 18 and over, and the student offer carries the same age condition. If you are under 18, or choosing a plan for a younger family member, check Google's age and eligibility terms for Saudi Arabia first.

Third, VAT is a point to flag, not to assume. App Store trackers state that the SAR prices they list include 15% Saudi VAT, but Google's own web page does not state whether its prices include VAT. This guide does not assert either way. The SAR 18.99 and SAR 85.99 figures are the prices as shown on Google's Saudi page in the sources we verified. If VAT matters for a business expense, check what is shown at checkout and on your invoice.

We also could not verify, from the sources used here, whether there is annual pricing in Saudi Arabia, what payment methods are accepted, or whether Ultra's bundled YouTube Premium applies in Saudi Arabia. This guide does not invent answers to those questions. Check Google's Saudi subscriptions page and the checkout page directly if they matter to you.

Red flags: claims you should not trust

AI subscriptions attract misleading offers. This section is not about the official plans above. It is about claims you may see in ads and messages, and why you should treat them as warnings, not bargains.

Do not trust a claim of Google AI Pro for $50 or €50 for 18 months from an unverified third-party seller. That does not match the verified Saudi price of SAR 85.99 per month, and converting a dollar or euro figure into riyals does not make it a Saudi price. The same applies to any claim of Plus for around $10 from an unverified seller. The offers in the table at the top of this article are TechOrCoffee's own offers β€” email us at techorffee@gmail.com for details. If someone else offers a plan far below the verified Saudi price, assume it is not an official Google offer unless Google's own Saudi page says so.

Do not trust a guarantee. No seller can guarantee a cheap plan, a lifetime plan or a special price that Google itself does not advertise in Saudi Arabia. A guarantee claim is a reason to walk away, not a reason to pay.

Do not trust a claim of a Google partnership or authorised reseller status. TechOrCoffee is not Google, and this guide makes no partnership or reseller claim. If a seller claims authorised reseller status, ask for proof you can verify with Google, and do not pay until you have it. The safe route is to subscribe through Google itself.

Never share your password, one-time code or account recovery information. No genuine offer, student registration or laptop bundle needs those details. Anyone who asks for them is trying to take over your account. The same applies to messages that pressure you to pay quickly or ask you to pay through an unusual method. A real saving is usually modest β€” a free student year, or three free months with a laptop.

How to decide in ten minutes

You do not need a spreadsheet to make a good choice. Work through these steps in order.

First, check whether you are eligible for the free student Plus offer, or buying an eligible ASUS laptop. If either applies, take the free period first. You can compare the paid plans later, with real experience behind you.

Second, check your current Google storage. Under 100 GB and growing slowly? Plus's 400 GB is enough. Near or over 400 GB, or working with large video files? Pro's 5 TB is the relevant difference.

Third, look at your last two weeks of Gemini use. Were you hitting limits or wishing for stronger help with long documents? If not, Plus is the sensible paid choice. If so, Pro is worth a closer look.

Fourth, price it over a year: Plus is SAR 227.88, Pro is SAR 1,031.88. Ask whether the extra SAR 804 will save you time or help you earn more.

Fifth, for Ultra, stop and verify. Its figures here come from a single Saudi source and are not independently confirmed. Do not subscribe until you can see the confirmed Saudi price and inclusions on Google's own page, and name the specific Ultra feature you need that Pro does not give you. Finally, subscribe through Google's own Saudi page, keep your receipt, and review the plan after a month. If you are not using the extra capacity, downgrade. If you are hitting limits every day, upgrade. The best plan matches how you actually work, at a price you can justify in Saudi riyals.

If you are still unsure whether Plus, Pro or Ultra fits your work in Saudi Arabia, or you want help checking whether you are eligible for the student offer or a laptop bundle, contact TechOrCoffee at techorffee@gmail.com. Tell us how you use Gemini, how much storage you need, and whether you are a student β€” and we will help you compare the verified options, without pushing you toward the most expensive plan.
